Simple and Festive Saint Patrick’s Day Tablescape

Spring tablescapeHello, friends! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day Eve. I was feeling festive, so I gathered a few things from around the house and put together a quick tablescape.  Rather than go with a themed table, I chose to use green, white, and gold and work with different shades and textures. I am very pleased with how everything turned out, and I think it’s versatile enough to work past St. Patrick’s Day.

Spring table

I started with a plain white tablecloth and topped it with green and white polka dot fabric from Hobby Lobby. I have had the fabric in my collection for a few years. I hemmed the edges and I  have been able to use it to add color for many different occasions, including birthday parties, baby showers, and holidays. It seems to coordinate with many themes and it’s large enough that I can spread it out or fold it smaller to suit my needs.

Both sets of plates are from Home Goods, and we use them as our every day dishes. I usually stick with white dishes for the crisp look and the ease of mixing and matching. The glasses were picked up at a local antique store. I thought the apples were just a fun touch to bring in more green.  The boxwood is from At Home. I needed a low centerpiece and I liked the additional texture added to the table. It also reminded me a little bit of clover.  Another great option would be a low floral centerpiece using green and white flowers and greenery.

Now we are ready for our corned beef and cabbage. I look forward to having a traditional meal and will be sharing our menu in an upcoming post.

I hope you enjoyed my quick, simple and festive (and free)  tablescape.  How will you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?
